The World Is About To End

Free Verse poem.

The world is about to end
I saw it on the news today
there’s a coronavirus outbreak
people are getting sick and dying
scared to go anywhere
I’m just trying to keep surviving.

I don’t know if everything is going to be ok
I can only tell you I hope so
we’ve lived through things like this before
this time it just feels worse
because we blow everything out of proportion
the media doesn’t help us calm down.

The world is about to end
enjoy the ride.
