Avoid these common leadership mistakes

Leadership is a process. And you’re continually honing your skills as a leader. Whether you choose to accept it or not, your life has some form of leadership built-in.

Some of us have leadership appointed to us, for instance, sports, or when we apply for that management role. Some of us become leaders by default, for instance when our business thrives and we have no choice but to hire help.

The rest of us will be leaders in some form:

Experience is the best teacher when it comes to leading. It’s only thorough challenges you get better and it gets easier.

However, there are some errors in leadership that can put you at a serious disadvantage.

Whenever I don’t do one or more of these things, I get myself into unnecessary complications.

Once you get these basics down, the experiences that come your way becomes easier to manage, no matter what type of leader you are.

Do what I say, not as I do is a thing of the past.

Your team is watching you. Your kids are watching you. The internet remembers. They listen to every word you say and they see every move you make. And they’re taking notes.

The foundation of every leader should be:
