Wireframing challenge- Ironhack Prework

When you start a project, you usually follow a design process from an idea to a final concept. As already mentioned, this process don’t have to be linear, you can jump into previous steps to next ones as many times as necessary. This method is helpful when you’re inside the project from the begining and you understand everything about it. However this perception changes when you start it in the middle of the process and you don’t have any idea about he project. And this is what happened here. There was a proposed solution and you had to think and create how was the previous step of this answer.

In this kind of exercises, it’s necessary to rethink about how this solution was built and emphatize with it. In other words, you have to understand what is the idea and the speech behind the product. Which elements of the app were created to an specific function and what is the message that the final solution wants to convey.

Based on these ideas, I tried to create the wireframes for Emov and, at first, it was quite difficult. I had to think which elements, like buttons, texts and icons were important and useful, and which don’t. If the wireframes were too much opened and free, the final solution would be totally different than the actual one. An, in the opposite way, if the wireframes were too narrow, this step of the design process would seem to stop making sense. Choose the perfect balance between them was the main challenge of this exercise.

Finishing the activity, I kept trying to emphatize with the designer who had created the Emov app, and I though: ‘I am sure that his wireframes are fully differents like mines, but, Paula, don’t worry about that, there is no a single solution for a design project’.
