When I was a teenager, it was an ordinary day, but some of my friends were out of reached. Turned out they were all at an amusement park having the time of their lives and I wasn’t invited.

I sound like a loser, but thankfully I had other circles of friends so I got over it quickly. But the feeling of being left out fucking sucked.

But I’m glad it happened. I learned it was okay to cut people off if they were not worth it. It was okay even if I was not liked by everyone. The pressure was off.

Many years ago, a friend I deeply cared about disappeared into thin air. I felt sad and homesick for a really long time. I wanted answers, but no one never gave it to me. I was so lost.

But I’m glad it happened. I learned people come and go and ending a toxic relationship lets the positive one come into your life.

Few months ago, I found out the company that I was dedicated to for a really long time valued me far below my expectation. When I saw it in paper, I was torn apart.

But I’m glad it happened. I grew smarter and learned to take better care of myself now. I’ve become stronger from what doesn’t kill me, a saying I despise.

Today I was talking to someone at work. He was well respected and had so much accomplishments under his belt. He too had a similar experience. I was glad to know that these things don’t happen just to me. The key was to move on and rise above.

There is no anger in me. I don’t know if I got over it or I’m just numb. Either way, I’m glad shit happened and it’s over.
